Venice Part 1

I have so many great pictures of Venice that it was hard to pick and choose. So this first round will be of St. Mark's Square.

These two shots are of the St. Mark's Cathedral. I think someone famous is supposed to be buried there but I can't remember, nor do I care to look it up.

This is the other side of the square from the cathedral's view.

This is the bell tower there. Every famous square in Italy has a corresponding bell tower.

This is the view from the back of the square. You can see the bell tower close to the cathedral.

And this is the view of the square from the bell tower. You have to climb a couple of towers while you're in Italy. The view is always spectacular. More views from up here next time. Just not of the square.

My wife was in Venice several years ago, along with her mother, brothers, and sister-in-law. She loved the place!

Thanks for sharing these pictures.
